How soon can we be married?
The first piece of legal documentation, your Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) needs to be completed, signed, witnessed and lodged to your Celebrant at least one month prior to your wedding date and can be completed up to 18 months in advance.

How many legal words MUST be in our ceremony?
There are 124 legal words that must be included in your ceremony. All of the other words, we can choose to complement your wedding day vibe and preferred ceremony style.
How many witnesses do we need at our ceremony?
The legal requirement is to have two people, over the age of eighteen required to witness your wedding. It is a requirement that the witnesses, speak English otherwise you will need to source an interpreter.. As part of this, the witnesses will need to sign the Marriage and Commemorative Certificates.
Do we need a permit to hold our Ceremony in a park or on the beach?
In most cases, the answer will be yes. I would recommend speaking to the local council for that particular area to check with them.
